Mascara Review 5: Max Factor False Lash Effect

I was so excited when i spot Mac Factor in Watsons (name of drugstore). And this mascara was a newly launched and guarantee false lash effect with the usual amazing model advertisement. So i bagged it immediately since its a newly launch product, there is almost no chance for me to get hold of 1st hand product (which means new launch product) so it was a natural reaction haha.

Enough of my crap, here is the review.

pic of the mascara

comes in a fatty tube.

bare eye with only eyeshadow

pardon for the fine lines i got... (i need a eye cream recommendation!)

lashes with two coat of mascara

as the bristle is too short so i tend to paint my lid.

Curling power still acceptable but my lash looks average length.

No clumps.

I pin too high hope on this mascara taking the false lash effect wordings too seriously thus don't feel that the mascara work up to standard... Volumizing and lengthening are just average compare to my other mascaras. Might be suitable for touching up rather than to use as itself.

  1. hmm interesting mascara, the name definitely caught my attention! Too bad it doesn't work as great as it claims to be!

The Meiji collagen comes in pill form as well? I think the effect would be the same as long as the amount of collage is the same, the powder form they recommend you to take 5000 mg of collagen every day, not sure what the pill one is. But 5 pills is a lot to swallow! that along with a ton of vitamins I'm eating everyday already. hehehe so I think I'd prefer it to be in a yummy drink anyway :)

  2. I have this mascara for a couple of months. It works pretty fine, but then again it's hard to take off..

It doesn't hold the curl all that well..

  3. Oh you are my number one mascara review source, thanks so much for all the helpful information and pictures Karen! Too bad this is only a so-so mascara for you. I really like the Max Factor 2000 Calorie mascara, I need to review it soon too. They're going to stop selling Max Factor in the U.S. in 2010 so I'm sad because I like the 2000 Calorie one.

  4. This mascara worked for me, mainly because I have very stubby eyelashes compared to you. I think that there are better curling and lengthening mascaras out there if you have average length Asian lashes.

  5. This product didn't work for me either, out of all the Maxfactor mascara's I prefer the "Maxfactor Masterpiece", IMO it gives better definition and lengthens.

  6. Mascara's are so tricky the ad's make you think it's the best new product and most of them don't work. I haven't tried this one yet but I do use the Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara and I really like it.

  7. Nice review!! I was really curious about this but they don't sell it in the stores here.

I see that you want to try the 2000 calorie so I will pick that up for you and include it in your package ^__^
