Review: Lancome Genifique Youth Activator

Extracted from Lancome's Website:

"At the very origin of your skin's youth: your genes. By expressing themselves, the genes produce specific proteins, that can be found on the skin's surface. These proteins are the skin's signature of youth. With age, their presence diminishes. Today, for every woman, Lancôme changes the face of skincare with the first Youth Activating Concentrate GÉNIFIQUE. Now, revive gene's activity and stimulate the production of youth proteins by up to 60%.

Visibly rejuvenated skin in just 7 days. Vibrant with youth, skin looks lit from within - breathtakingly radiant. Its youthful quality returns: cushiony soft and velvety to the touch. Skin's tone is astonishingly even; its texture dramatically refined. "

This is the message that got me curious in re-discovering my own skin. As i'm already in my late twenties, meaning i must work harder on my skincare routine than my makeup routine. This can be seen in my shopping habit these days, i picked up more skincare that could have no problem to last me till end of next year or more. But picked 10% of what i got for skincare for my cosmetics. Isn't it a tell tale sign that i'm in need of more HG products as age is catching up.

I never really pay attention to serum like that that claim to unleash your youth within, improve your skin condition etc. I always thought serum is just a concentrate moisturizing liquid that provide more intense care to skin. Anyway, i finally picked this up for the sake of curiousity on how it can change me.

It comes in a glass, push pump drop bottle.

Its constantly reminding me what it can do for my skin, like hypnotizing me... (i mean just the name)

They provide detailed explanation of their product & what it can do for you.

Review:
Frankly speaking, i feel just normal for the 1st week of use. And indeed after the 1st week, i started to notice my skin feels supple and smooth every morning after cleansing routine. And I seemed to shake off the combination skin condition all behind me, meaning the flaking dry skin area near on my nose & chin. The serum is good to keep them well moisturized. Despite some breakouts along the way, which i read its the skin reacting to the change... or my diet causes them i guess (i love hot & spicy stuffs). Other than the breakout areas, the rest of my skin stays really clear that got me thinking it does work seriously. I went for a trip last month and brought this along, the air pressure on the plane doesn't dry out my skin. Not to mentioned the long overnight train ride i was on. Maybe i could give credits to this serum.

I had just hit pan totally this morning, that's sad i know. So I'm wondering if i should continue with this one or be adventurous a bit to try out another similar one. Any recommendation?

Here's a piece of music that i spinning in my head for the past few days.. enjoy
